The wolves were intent on something, I know not what, and they were totally focused in one direction. However, they didn't head into the bush to investigate, and within a few minutes had lost interest. This was very near their rendezvous site and there were pups around as well. Lots of people miss the third wolf in the photo. Look at the bottom right hand corner; you can just see its eye, nose and ears!
