This image was taken during the same January week that “Road Warriors” was captured. It was a crisp morning to say the least, the truck thermometer wouldn’t even register the temperature it was so cold! On winter days when the air is filled with ice crystals, patches of light known as sundogs can often be seen on either side of the sun. They are refractions of the sun’s rays and usually look like small rainbow-coloured patches hanging in the sky. The bitterly cold day created this beautiful scene, fresh snow on a frozen lake and sundogs in the sky above.
