The mother black bear in this shot was incredibly nervous and kept her cubs close to her. It was quite obvious that she would not take kindly to being approached so I stayed near the safety of my vehicle while photographing the family. Even with the distance separating us, the mother did bluff charge at one point as if to make sure that I understood to stay back – I obliged!
