Canada’s Arctic is just one of those breathtaking landscapes. Combine an arctic fox in cool blue light, along with the hues of ominous colours reflected in the sky created by the dark ocean at the ice floe edge and you have one of my favourite “clicks” of Mother Nature’s images. This image speaks of the peacefulness of the Arctic, a landscape seldom touched by anything other than nature. For me, this image symbolizes the past (the fox looking back) and the future (the ominous colours on the horizon) for the arctic fox. The arctic fox is a commonly found species, but as climate change continues their biological cousin the red fox threatens their existence.
