Nature’s Perfection
Alberta Foothills
I captured this image on a warm summer’s day, while having an awesome encounter with ‘wild ones’ in the foothills of Alberta. This wild palomino mare and her foal share a unique trait. Palomino is a beautiful creamy-coloured coat with a white mane and tail. Although it can be found across any breed of horse, it is not a common colour. Even if both parents of this foal were a palomino colour, it would only have a 50% chance of being a palomino as well. I was very lucky to find this matching mare and foal! The mare was quite shy, but the foal was not, without the foal’s curiosity I am not sure I would have been able to capture “Nature’s Perfection”.
