I captured this mountain grizzly bear feeding on berries along a high alpine ridge in the Rocky Mountains. I was careful to remain a safe distance away. I don’t believe the bear knew of my presence as I snapped this photo. I stayed just a minute or two. As winter approaches grizzly bears can eat up to 200,000 berries per day as they prepare for hibernation.
