Hey I’m a Big Deal

Banff National Park, Alberta

This male Red-winged Blackbird was singing his heart out to attract a mate and define his territory. He was perched in this marsh with other males competing for the honour of ‘winning the girl’.  He was letting all the girls know that he was a ‘Big Deal.'
