In Jasper National Park, I captured a powerful moment as an adult bald eagle peered through my lens. This eagle was raising two eaglets in the Medicine Lake area. I spent days observing the eaglets’ antics as the adults dutifully kept returning to the nest with food. One evening, the adult perched close to me in perfect light, an image that embodied fortitude and resilience. Jasper and its community will need this spirit as they rebuild after summer wildfires. Once again, nature can be the inspiration.
