Banff’s Romeo
Canadian Rocky Mountains, Alberta
I came across this grizzly foraging in a meadow on a cool mountain day. It had been raining, which set the scene for this upcoming Banff grizzly who some have nicknamed “Romeo”. Why has he been given this nickname? Male grizzlies are known to be aggressive towards cubs, and although this particular grizzly is in his early teens and an immature bear, he is not aggressive. He is a lover of all!
