Final Approach
Homer, Alaska
This bald eagle was making its final approach for landing. At this time of year he would be migrating towards nesting grounds further north. He may have stayed in this area for a period of time to feed and rest before continuing on. The beautiful evening light cast this eagle in silhouette. It was a perfect ending to what had been a great day for me in the field.
