Curious and Cute

Pine Martens are part of the weasel family and are such a secretive species, like most of the weasel family. They are cute but very quick and agile. As I hiked through the forest, this pine marten was in the forest and jumped up on a tree. He tucked himself behind the tree as he was curious in the photographer, almost playing a game of peek-a-boo. As hunters in the forest, they primarily hunt for red squirrels and voles.
