Big Boy
Elk Island National Park, Alberta
Known as the "Big Boys" of the prairies, Bison are the largest terrestrial land mammal found in North America. This particular male was no exception. He was laying down for a rest when I happened upon him. My presence seemed to spark his curiosity and he would later approach me to ensure I was not a threat.
