All in the Wild is a leader in wildlife photography with six galleries located across Canada. Our galleries feature the images and experiences of world-renowned photographer, Jason Leo Bantle. Our mission at All in the Wild is to bring an appreciation and awareness, respect, and enjoyment of nature and the wildlife that inhabit it, to all of our gallery visitors and friends. Additionally, we want to limit our footprint on the planet and share our successes through the purchase of land to be set aside for conservation.

As a wildlife photography advocate at All In The Wild, you possess a passion for conservation and an appreciation of nature and wildlife. You pride yourself on providing the highest level of service to our customers and visitors. You excel at creating a positive and exciting work environment, while successfully executing sales strategies to meet sales targets.

Responsibilities:

  • Each image is more than just a picture. Each image conveys a story and experience about nature. It is the responsibility of the photography advocate to learn about all the stories and experiences behind each image and share this with all our gallery visitors.
  • Understand the All in the Wild selling philosophy and use the tools and training provided to develop selling and service skills, resulting in strong and positive customer relationships as well as increased sales.
  • Greet all customers promptly and courteously as they enter the gallery.
  • Maintain knowledge of all the gallery images and products.
  • Determine the specific needs of each visitor, problem-solve, and provide appropriate service.
  • Ensure inventory levels are maintained.
  • Assist in the selection and management of the gallery portfolio.
  • Maintain a positive, supportive, and cheerful attitude at all times.
  • Assist in the organization of promotional in-gallery functions and special events.
  • Work with the All in the Wild team in the selection, production, and shipping of images, analysis of customer feedback, and delivery of exceptional customer service.
  • Understand and practice the company’s values and adhere to professional conduct.
  • Maintain and care for the gallery.

Requirements:

  • Excellent customer service and sales skills.
  • Energetic and positive attitude.
  • Previous retail or related customer service experience.
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills. Story-telling is a definite benefit.
  • Solid organizational skills and self-motivating.
  • Consistently display honesty, integrity and reliability.
  • Desire to learn about wildlife and wild spaces.
  • Ability to actively listen to customers and co-workers.
  • Experience, passion, or post-secondary education in one or more of the following areas: business studies, fine art sales, marketing, ecology, biology, art, or photography would be an asset.
  • A strong commitment to the preservation of nature and all of its inhabitants.
  • Prior knowledge and use of POS (Point of Sale) system

Job Type: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent Part-time with hours: 20-30 per week

Salary: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Flexible Language Requirement: French not required

Work setting: speciality store in Banff and Canmore

Experience: sales: 1 year (preferred), customer service: 1 year (preferred)
