Dawn’s Dominant at Spray Lake

Canmore Area, Alberta

I was headed out to photograph a completely different bull moose when this huge bull emerged from the tree line heading into the Spray Lakes. He headed directly for a smaller bull moose that was feeding out in Spray Lakes and chased him away. Successful, he returned to the tree line only to emerge a few moments later with a cow moose. It became evident that he had deterred a competitor. The beautiful fog of late September set the scene.
