Banff National Park, Alberta

A cool wet summer day allowed me to capture fireweed with this stunning background of mountains on the edge of the Columbia Icefields. The Columbian Mountains have their own microclimate which makes for unusual conditions- just five minutes on the other side of them the skies were blue.
