This May night heralded one of the best light shows in the last 35 years. Standing on the deck of my cabin, I pondered the best nearby location to take a photograph. I knew there could be an amazing scene if the Northern Lights headed south in the vicinity of The Three Sisters mountains. They did. Driving down the highway, I knew I didn’t have much time. Those spectacular red hues were something no nature photographer would want to miss. Luckily, I arrived just in time to capture this spellbinding phenomenon.
