Running Wild
Nunavut
While out on a snow machine, a group of researchers spooked this herd of muskox. The researchers radioed back to camp to warn us the herd was headed in our direction. I climbed up on the camp roof with my binoculars and, sure enough, the heard was stampeding straight towards camp. I managed to quickly set up my equipment and waited in anticipation. I photographed this herd as they trampled over the rock outcrop behind camp and thundered past, just barely avoiding us!
