I pass by this lone tree along the highway often on trips to Alberta, but it is usually in the middle of the day when the light for a dramatic sky typically does not exist. This tree stands out alone on a prairie landscape in an area that is devoid of any other large trees. On this particular winter's day, a clear horizon and a sky filled with scattered grey cloud enabled me to capture this chance prairie scene. No filters were used to capture this image.
