A Hare with a Prayer

While foraging for lichens, this arctic hare stopped frequently to rub its face with its paws. This individual must have sensed that I was no threat as it let me get within a few feet of it. When the film came back from this encounter, I couldn’t help but think that it looked like the hare was praying! In reality, I had captured him as he was about to scratch his nose again.
