Canada’s Peace
Algonquin Park, Ontario
I spent a foggy fall morning in Algonquin Park near Cache Lake. The overhanging branches from a hardwood and the fog coming over the lake created a true scene of Canada and highlighted the glorious fall colours in Ontario. Algonquin Park was the first provincial park in Ontario, established in 1893 to create a wildlife sanctuary. As one of the largest provincial parks, it protects a variety of natural, cultural, and recreational features and values that are so important to us in Canada.
