The Rundle Ridge Rumble

Summer storms in the mountains can be quite dramatic. This image was taken in late May when the Bow Valley experienced a storm that lasted several hours. You could almost feel the electricity in the air as I waited for the storm to reach the sport over Rundle Ridge where I hoped to capture it. I watched and photographed this incredible storm until well after midnight. The thunder rumbling in the background provided the soundtrack for the night.
